soil and soul
My desire and my dreams in the cold hill, the cold hill,
..With her pure spring water roaring down through a mist,
The sun and the starlight kissing her tresses
..While I want her and crave her as long as I live
- from 'Fhuar-Bheinn' - 'The Cold Hill', Rev Dr Kenneth Macleod
It's not just water that quenches thirst

And this (unrelated) gem, discussing possible nicknames for a politician:
Nick “30 Women” Clegg. Strictly speaking it should be “No More Than 30 Women”, but that’s a bit long-winded, and sounds more like a request. “Approximately 30 Women” sounds forgetful and “30 Women, Roughly” positively invites misunderstanding.

the second heart
As he ate
I proffered a sweeter flesh,
flesh attended by love and hope,
and bid him eat of the new heart
instead
He took, squinted, sniffed and gnawed,
tasted - tested and recoiled,
throwing the new heart away, wailing
"Vile - vile sweetness, foreign to my tongue
and better tasting, but alien and worse!"
And he squatted upon the ground,
held his heart in his hands,
and ate of it,
hissing "Bitter, bitter -
to bitterness I am accustomed, bitterness I will eat"
